I remember seeing universities and some investors in the private sector working on this stuff some years ago, this one is supposed to make it an ease to move 150 lbs, I remember seeing one 6-7 years ago that (they said) could carry 2,000 lbs, let you run 30 MPH and jump 20-30 easily. I don't know why this one is suddenly an advance prototype (maybe they missed the old one or there were some other issues?) anyways, cool stuff.
Here's Lockheed Martin's own version, makes carrying 200 lbs an ease for a foot solider.
